The TSL/VBCBL 2017 All Star game will be held tonight at TowneBank OBX Park, located at the First Flight Athletic Complex, 109 Veterans Dr. Kill Devil Hills, NC. 27948. Gates will open at 6:15pm, with the First Pitch at 7:00pm. Tickets will be available at the front gate.
Skydive OBX will be parachutting into the ballpark during our pregame ceremonies, and North Carolina state champion barbership quartet The Sea Notes will be in the park to honor our Country with the singing of our National Anthem.
As always, there will be great concessions, including John Powers bbq, burgers and hot dogs, plus Island Snowball Co. will be there with their ultimate snowball experience, and the Outer Banks Kiwanis Club will have Bertie County Peanuts and fresh popped Pop-Corn.

Williams’s Walkoff Gives Daredevils Victory Over Fightin’ Crabs
June 23, 2017 – Kill Devil Hills, NC
Daredevils took Friday’s game in dramatic fashion, with a 4-3 walk-off victory over Fightin’ Crabs. The game was tied at three with Daredevils batting in the bottom of the ninth when Ryan Williams singled off of Noah Gear, driving in one run.
Eli Straw collected five hits in five at bats to help lead Daredevils to victory. Straw singled in the first, singled in the third, singled in the fifth, singled in the seventh, and singled in the ninth.
Fightin’ Crabs knotted the game up at three in the top of the eighth inning. Fightin’ Crabs scored one run when Evan Hirschbaum singled with two outs in the eighth inning.
Payton Holdsworth earned the win for Daredevils. He pitched one and two-thirds innings, giving up zero runs, one hit, striking out three, and walking zero. Noah Gear took the loss for Fightin’ Crabs. He went one-third of an inning, giving up zero runs, two hits, striking out one, and walking zero.
Thomas Packert started the game for Daredevils. He went seven innings, allowing one run, two hits, striking out 12, and walking one. James Jakuba started the game for Fightin’ Crabs. He pitched five innings, surrendering three runs, five hits, striking out seven, and walking one.

Tonight’s game between the Portsmouth Sea Monsters and the Outer Banks Daredevils has been cancelled due to unplayable field conditions.
The Daredevils begin another home stand this weekend, with home games Friday night, June 23rd; Saturday night, June 24th; Sunday night, June 25th; Monday night, June 26th and Tuesday night, June 27th.

Bats were blistered as Daredevils defeated Hawks 12-6 on Monday.
Daredevils took the lead for good with two runs in the fifth inning. In the fifth there was an error, scoring one run.
Daredevils scored four runs in the sixth inning. Daredevils scored on a single by Eli Straw and a walk by Derek Horton.
Hunter Perdue earned the win for Daredevils. He pitched seven innings, giving up three runs, three hits, and striking out six. Two relievers helped Daredevils close out the victory.
Josh Tolson & Ryan Creps threw one inning apiece.
Ethan Santos took the loss for Hawks. He tossed four innings, surrendering three runs, two hits, and striking out five.
Straw and Horton each drove in two runs to lead Daredevils.
