The 2019 season was another exciting year of great collegiate summer baseball, and the Daredevils took the field each day with enthusiasm and a professional work ethic, leaving everything on the field each game. We finished the regular season in the top four of the 2019 standings, but were eliminated in the third game of the post season tournament. We are proud of our players, and the effort they gave us throughout the summer, and all in all we had another great summer. We also want to say thank you to our great sponsors, the team behind the team, who have continued to support us year after year, THANK YOU!

We once again watched as one of our former player’s heard their name called in the Major League Baseball Draft. Evan Voliva, ECU & Outer Banks Daredevils, was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 18th round. Congratulations Evan Voliva.

The Outer Banks Daredevils were once again blessed to have had an outstanding group of young men join us for our summer season. Despite playing our games in Va Beach for the second year in a row, our players were still able to come down to the OBX and participate in community events with some of our great local partner organizations such as Dare Coalition Against Substance Abuse (Dare CASA).

Plans are being made to bring the Daredevils back to the Outer Banks for the 2020 season, and we hope that all of our fans, host families and sponsors will join us in our efforts. We look forward to hearing the crack of the bat; the smack of the ball hitting the mitt; the smell of the popcorn popping; the sounds of kids running around chasing down foul balls; seeing families, with kids young and old,  enjoying our beautiful summer nights here in the OBX at the ballpark, together, cheering on our home team.
