We are a collegiate summer baseball team, located in Manteo, NC and playing in the Premier Collegiate League. Founded in 1997, the Daredevils played their first 15 seasons in the Coastal Plain League, and from 2013 through 2019, they played in the Tidewater Summer League. Following a three year, pandemic related break, the Daredevils return to the field for the 2023 summer as members of the Premier Collegiate League.

Kane’s single gives Outer Banks Daredevils walk-off win over the Mid Atlantic Pirates, 9-8

A walk-off single from Tommy Kane brought home the winning run for Outer Banks Daredevils in a 9-8 victory over the Mid Atlantic Pirates on Friday.

Tommy racked up two RBIs on one hit for Outer Banks Daredevils. He singled in the ninth inning.

Each team blasted the other’s pitching, and there were 17 total runs and 14 hits during the game. Both bullpens were busy with eight pitchers used in the game as the skippers of both squads tried to finish it off.

Outer Banks Daredevils held off the Mid Atlantic Pirates, as the Mid Atlantic Pirates were unable to overcome a two-run ninth inning deficit.

Despite their efforts, the Mid Atlantic Pirates couldn’t get over the hump.

Kevin Stein, Eric Schenck-Joblinske and Tripp Whatley helped lead Outer Banks Daredevils. They combined for six hits and three RBIs.

The top of the first saw the Mid Atlantic Pirates take an early lead, 6-0. A single by Tim Brock, scoring Jimmy Cody started the inning off. The Mid Atlantic Pirates then tacked on more runs when Grissom scored on a walk by James Stroud, Cardwell scored on a bases loaded walk by Cale Henke, Brock scored on an error, and Read and Frangiules scored on a two-run single by Jimmy.

Outer Banks Daredevils answered the Mid Atlantic Pirates’ top inning with five runs of its own in the ninth. Outer Banks Daredevils scored on a fielder’s choice, a walk by Xavier Barrierre, a walk by Will Miller, and a two-run single by Tommy.

Outer Banks Daredevils makes the most of seven hits in 5-2 victory over Virginia Warriors

Both Outer Banks Daredevils and Virginia Warriors put runners aboard on Thursday, but it was Outer Banks Daredevils that was able to take advantage, pulling out a 5-2 win.

Virginia Warriors had eight hits compared with Outer Banks Daredevils’s seven, but Virginia Warriors stranded 10 runners on base.

Dylan Harvey got on base four times in the game for Outer Banks Daredevils. He singled in the sixth and eighth innings.

Ryan Jones pitched lights out for Outer Banks Daredevils. Virginia Warriors managed just one hit off of Jones, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out six during his four innings of work.

The top of the first saw Virginia Warriors take an early lead, 1-0. Virginia Warriors’ offense woke up as Justin Erby tripled before Tyler Boothe singled, scoring Justin.

Outer Banks Daredevils never surrendered the lead after the second inning, scoring three runs on a two-run single by Jess Smith and a hit by pitch.

Outer Banks Daredevils increased its lead with two runs in the fifth. Conner Hall started the inning with a single, bringing home Dylan.

Outer Banks Daredevils drops 5-3 game to Lynnhaven Stars despite efforts of Dylan Harvey.

June 14, 2013 – First Flight Baseball Complex, Kill Devil Hills, NC.

Dylan Harvey did all he could to give Outer Banks Daredevils a boost, but it wasn’t enough to get past Lynnhaven Stars, as Outer Banks Daredevils lost 5-3 on Friday.

Harvey was solid at the plate for Outer Banks Daredevils. Harvey went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first inning.

Josh Howard shut down Lynnhaven Stars while he was on the hill. Howard gave up just three hits, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his 4 2/3 innings of work.

The lead stayed with Lynnhaven Stars after the second, when it scored one run on an RBI single by Robbie Hiser.

Lynnhaven Stars brought home two runs in the third inning, and matched that run total in the fourth. In the third, Lynnhaven Stars scored on a two-run single by Ryan Blake, plating Shane Johnsonbaugh and Josh Moore.

Lynnhaven Stars tacked on another two runs in the fourth. The inning looked promising, as Travis Johnson tripled, plating Hiser to kick things off. That was followed up by Johnsonbaugh’s single, scoring Johnson.

One run in the bottom of the fourth helped Outer Banks Daredevils close its deficit to 5-1. A groundout by Will Connerly sparked Outer Banks Daredevils rally. Lynnhaven Stars stopped the rally after Ryan Van Assche got Tripp Whatley to strike out.

One run in the bottom of the fifth helped Outer Banks Daredevils close its deficit to 5-2. A hit by pitch set off Outer Banks Daredevils rally. Van Assche ended the inning by getting Conner Hall to strike out.

One run in the bottom of the eighth helped Outer Banks Daredevils close its deficit to 5-3. A groundout by Zach Hynes gave Outer Banks Daredevils life. But, Nick Ott got Kevin Stein to fly out to end the inning.

Thursday Night is “Canned Food” night as the Daredevils take on the Knights

The Outer Banks Daredevils, along with our great friends at Joe Lamb, Jr & Associates, will be hosting a canned food drive at Thursday nights game vs the Greenbrier Knights. Bring a non perishable food item or items and get into the park for free. All donated items will be given to our local food pantries. Please come out and join us at the ballpark for a great game and a great cause.

Outer Banks Daredevils outlast the Mid Atlantic Pirates in high-scoring affair, 15-11

June 11, 2013 – First Flight Baseball Complex, Kill Devil Hills, NC

Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Tuesday as Outer Banks Daredevils outscored the Mid Atlantic Pirates 15-11.

There were 20 hits, including six extra base hits in the game.

Conner Hall racked up four RBIs on two hits for Outer Banks Daredevils. He singled in the first and third innings.

Cale Henke had an impressive outing against the Mid Atlantic Pirates’ lineup. Henke held the Mid Atlantic Pirates hitless over five innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out seven.

Outer Banks Daredevils uses big seventh inning to beat Virginia Warriors, 9-3

Outer Banks Daredevils blew out Virginia Warriors 9-3 on Sunday after pouring on seven runs in the seventh inning.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to five lead changes in the game.

Outer Banks Daredevils took the lead in the seventh inning and held on for the victory. An error scored Will Connerly and gave Outer Banks Daredevils the lead for good.

Ryan Jones got the win in relief for Outer Banks Daredevils. Jones pitched five innings and allowed one run.

Outer Banks Daredevils was sparked by Brent West and Xavier Barrierre, who teamed up for five hits and three RBIs.

The bottom of the first saw Outer Banks Daredevils take an early lead, 2-0. Outer Banks Daredevils added more runs when Harvey scored on an RBI single by West.

The seventh spelled defeat for Virginia Warriors, as Outer Banks Daredevils grabbed the lead for good. More runners rounded the bases on two passed balls, two singles, and a steal of home by John Croak.
