We are a collegiate summer baseball team, located in Manteo, NC and playing in the Premier Collegiate League. Founded in 1997, the Daredevils played their first 15 seasons in the Coastal Plain League, and from 2013 through 2019, they played in the Tidewater Summer League. Following a three year, pandemic related break, the Daredevils return to the field for the 2023 summer as members of the Premier Collegiate League.
Tonight’s game between the Portsmouth Sea Monsters and the Outer Banks Daredevils has been cancelled due to unplayable field conditions.
The Daredevils begin another home stand this weekend, with home games Friday night, June 23rd; Saturday night, June 24th; Sunday night, June 25th; Monday night, June 26th and Tuesday night, June 27th.

Tuesday’s game between the Lynnhaven Pelicans and the Outer Banks Daredevils has been cancelled due to unplayble field conditions. Join us tomorrow nights as the Portsmouth Sea Monsters will be coming to town for a 7pm start.
Bats were blistered as Daredevils defeated Hawks 12-6 on Monday.
Daredevils took the lead for good with two runs in the fifth inning. In the fifth there was an error, scoring one run.
Daredevils scored four runs in the sixth inning. Daredevils scored on a single by Eli Straw and a walk by Derek Horton.
Hunter Perdue earned the win for Daredevils. He pitched seven innings, giving up three runs, three hits, and striking out six. Two relievers helped Daredevils close out the victory.
Josh Tolson & Ryan Creps threw one inning apiece.
Ethan Santos took the loss for Hawks. He tossed four innings, surrendering three runs, two hits, and striking out five.
Straw and Horton each drove in two runs to lead Daredevils.

Knights Defeat Daredevils in inaugural Ocracoke Island Benefit Game
June 15, 2017 – Ocracoke Island, NC
Daredevils fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 14-2 loss to Knights on Thursday.Knights scored on a single by Jeff Butler and a groundout by Chris Henderson in the second inning.
Knights captured the lead in the second inning. With one out in the second inning Jeff Butlerdrove in one run when he singled.
Knights scored five runs in the sixth inning. The big inning for Knights came thanks to a single by Butler and a grand slam by Bennie Spady.
Daredevils collected eight hits. Damian Hairston and Andrew Kasiski each collected multiple hits for Daredevils. Ryan Creps and Hairston each drove in one run to lead Daredevils.
Knights had 15 hits in the game. Butler, Nick Lees, Spady, TJ Wynkoop, and Jay Brandt each collected multiple hits for Knights.
Despite the loss, it was a great day of baseball, a beautiful drive down historic Rt. 12 through Hatteras Island, a sweet ferry ride over to Ocracoke Island (with special thanks to Jed Dixon), a fantastic crowd, an excellent facility for baseball, great concessions, a day of family fun with our friends in Ocracoke, a great post game meal at Gaffers (Thanks Red), with great live entertainment, and the net proceeds from the game went to benefit a great cause. Daredevils Jumps Out To Early Lead In Victory Over Bluefish

Daredevils jumped out to an early lead over Bluefish and took home an 11-1 victory on Wednesday. Daredevils scored on a single by Andrew Kasiski in the first inning.
Daredevils secured the victory thanks to seven runs in the eighth inning. The big inning was thanks to a fielder’s choice by Payton Holdsworth, a walk by Andrew Kasiski, a double by Eli Straw, a double by Ryan Creps, and a error.
Daredevils captured the lead in the first inning. Kasiski drove in one when he singled in the first inning.
Daredevils scored seven runs in the eighth inning. Daredevils scored on a fielder’s choice by Holdsworth, a walk by Kasiski, a double by Straw, a double by Creps, and a error.
Colby Rudis earned the win for Daredevils. He tossed seven innings, giving up zero runs, three hits, and striking out nine. Jake Odom took the loss for Bluefish. He threw one-third of an inning, giving up seven runs, and three hits.
Kevin Beckert started the game for Bluefish. He pitched five innings, surrendering three runs, six hits, and striking out five.
Daredevils collected ten hits. Straw and Mikey Delgado each collected multiple hits for Daredevils. Straw went 3-for-4 at the plate as he led the team with three runs batted in.Daredevils didn’t commit a single error in the field. Kasiski had the most chances in the field with nine.

Daredevils Wins Back-And-Forth Affair Against Waves
June 13, 2017 – Kill Devil Hills, NC
Daredevils defeated Waves 8-4 in a back-and-forth affair on Tuesday. The game was tied at two with Daredevils batting in the bottom of the sixth when there was an error, scoring one run.
Daredevils took an early lead in the first inning. Andrew Kasiski’s sac fly scored one run for Daredevils.
Daredevils evened things up at two in the bottom of the fourth inning. Mikey Delgado grounded out, scoring one run.
Daredevils took the lead for good with six runs in the sixth inning. In the sixth Damian Hairston singled off of Christian Rivera, driving in one run, Kasiski doubled off of Jacob Day, driving in two runs, and Eli Straw singled off of Day, driving in two runs.
Benji Rippons earned the win for Daredevils. He threw three and two-thirds innings, allowing zero runs, one hit, and striking out one. Rivera took the loss for Waves. He tossed five and a third innings, giving up six runs, nine hits, and striking out four.
Ryan Gallaccio started the game for Daredevils. He threw three innings, allowing zero runs, one hit, and striking out two.
Daredevils had 12 hits in the game. Payton Holdsworth, Kasiski, Bubba Ruiz, and Ryan Williams each collected multiple hits for Daredevils. Holdsworth led Daredevils with three hits in four at bats.

Despite seeing its five-run lead whittled down by the end, Daredevils still held off Suns for an 8-6 victory on Sunday. Suns scored four runs in the failed comeback on a triple by Tyler Dean in the eighth, a double by Tynan Hoefferle in the eighth, a groundout by Austin Thomas in the eighth, and a in the ninth.

Suns scored three runs in the eighth inning. Suns’s big inning was driven by a triple by Tyler Dean, a double by Tynan Hoefferle, and a groundout by Austin Thomas.
Chance DuCharme earned the win for Daredevils. He went four and two-thirds innings, surrendering two runs, two hits, and striking out two. Three relievers helped Daredevils close out the victory. Ryan Gallaccio threw two and a third innings. Benji Rippons recorded the last five outs to earn the save for Daredevils. MacKinnon took the loss for Suns. He pitched six and a third innings, surrendering six runs, five hits, and striking out four.
Hairston led Daredevils with three hits in four at bats.
Dean led Suns with two runs batted in. He went 1-for-4 on the day.

The Outer Banks Daredevils will be traveling to Norfolk, VA tonight to take on the Chesapeake Suns at Marty Miller Field, on the beautiful campus of Norfolk State University. Game time is 7pm.

The dimensions for Marty L. Miller Field are 330 feet to left field, 318 to right, 395 to the gaps, and 402 to center field. It has metal bleacher seating for 1,500, a spacious press box for game staff and working media, and lavatory facilities and storage space around the backside of the bleachers.
