Monday night, Tuesday night, Thursday night and Friday night. Park opens each night at 6:00pm and the first pitch is at 7:05pm. Great concessions and family fun awaits you at the ballpark, we hope to see everyone there.

Hot bats not enough, Outer Banks Daredevils succumbs to Lynnhaven Stars, 12-10

Tuesday, July 9, 2013 – First Flight Baseball Complex, Kill Devil Hills, NC.

Fourteen hits weren’t enough for Outer Banks Daredevils as it lost a shootout, 12-10, to Lynnhaven Stars on Tuesday at First Flight HS.

Nick Ott recorded the win for Lynnhaven Stars. He allowed two runs over one inning. Nick struck out one, walked one and gave up two hits.

Lynnhaven Stars’ Curtis Pittman, Nikolai Ellis, Dylan Hill and Aaron Newman combined for nine hits and six RBIs.

The top of the third saw Lynnhaven Stars take an early lead, 5-0. A single by Josh Moore, plating Ryan Blake started the inning off. More runs came home for Lynnhaven Stars when Pittman and Moore scored on a three-run home run by Aaron and Ellis scored on a walk by Jeff Orzell.

It didn’t take long for Outer Banks Daredevils to answer as it scored seven runs of its own in the fifth. Outer Banks Daredevils scored on an RBI single by Dylan Harvey, a fielder’s choice, an RBI single by Conner Hall, a two-run single by Eric Schenck-Joblinske, an RBI single by Kevin Stein, and an RBI single by Tommy Kane.

Lynnhaven Stars tied the game in the sixth on a passed ball that scored Josiah Kinchlow.

Lynnhaven Stars didn’t relinquish the lead after scoring three runs in the seventh inning when it scored on an RBI double by Dylan, an error, and an RBI single by Josiah.

Lynnhaven Stars tacked on another two runs in the eighth. Nikolai started the inning with a double, scoring Curtis.

One run in the bottom of the ninth helped Outer Banks Daredevils close its deficit to 12-10. A sacrifice fly by Will Connerly gave Outer Banks Daredevils life. Lynnhaven Stars’ Jeff Orzell induced a Conner fly out to close things out.

Outer Banks Daredevils falls behind in ninth inning in 7-5 loss to Tidewater Drillers

Monday, July 8, 2013 – First Flight Baseball Complex, Kill Devil Hills, NC.

Tidewater Drillers took the lead in the ninth inning, and Outer Banks Daredevils was unable to muster a comeback, losing 7-5 on Monday at First Flight HS.

Conner Hall paced Outer Banks Daredevils at the plate. Conner went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the second and fourth innings.

Brad Gero recorded the win for Tidewater Drillers. He pitched two shutout innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Tidewater Drillers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the second. A solo blast by Zach Bach started the inning off.

Outer Banks Daredevils scored one run of its own in the second. Outer Banks Daredevils scored on a sacrifice fly by Tommy Kane.

Tidewater Drillers scored two runs in each of the third, fifth and ninth. In the third, Tidewater Drillers scored on a two-run double by Ben Slaton, plating Nick Walker and Kyle Morrison.

Outer Banks Daredevils survived Tidewater Drillers’ surge and put up two runs of its own in the fifth. Outer Banks Daredevils scored on a two-run single by Brent West.

The lead stayed with Tidewater Drillers after the ninth, when it scored two runs on a two-run double by Tyler Tharp.

Greenbrier Knights beats Outer Banks Daredevils 6-4 thanks to big comeback.

Friday, July 5, 2013 – First Flight Baseball Complex, Kill Devil Hills, NC.

Outer Banks Daredevils led by two runs in the seventh inning, but Greenbrier Knights put together a furious comeback to steal the victory, 6-4, on Friday at First Flight HS.

It was a good day at the plate for Outer Banks Daredevils’ Eric Schenck-Joblinske. Eric went 3-5 and scored one run. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and fifth innings.

Ryan Jones was a workhorse on the rubber for Outer Banks Daredevils. Ryan Jones pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks while striking out five.

Taylor Gomer recorded the win for Greenbrier Knights. He allowed four runs over nine innings. He struck out eight, walked four and surrendered nine hits.

Greenbrier Knights was sparked by Jordan Sargent and Aaron Nardone, who teamed up for four hits and two RBIs.

The bottom of the first saw Outer Banks Daredevils take an early lead, 1-0. Outer Banks Daredevils’ threat began with a single by Eric. A single by Will Miller then moved Eric from first to second.

Greenbrier Knights didn’t relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the ninth inning when it scored on an RBI double by Mike Kroll and a sacrifice fly by Aaron Nardone.

Outer Banks Daredevils escapes the Mid Atlantic Pirates behind Josh Vales’s 11 strikeouts, 2-0.

Thursday, July 4th – First Flight Baseball Complex, Kill Devil Hills, NC.

An outstanding effort by Josh Vales spurred Outer Banks Daredevils to a 2-0 win over the Mid Atlantic Pirates on Thursday at First Flight HS.

Josh Vales struck out 11 hitters en route to the Outer Banks Daredevils win. Outer Banks Daredevils’ pitcher tossed eight innings of shutout ball and allowed only four hits.

Conner Hall was hot from the plate for Outer Banks Daredevils. Conner went 1-2, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning.

Outer Banks Daredevils closer Hunter Earley put away the final three outs to record the save.

Outer Banks Daredevils went up for good in the second, scoring one run on a solo home run by Conner.

Outer Banks Daredevils falls 15-1 to Tidewater Drillers despite Cam Kostyack’s effort.

Wednesday, July 3, 2013 – First Flight Baseball Complex, Kill Devil Hills, NC.

Despite a big day at the dish from Cam Kostyack, who finished 2-4, Outer Banks Daredevils lost 15-1 to Tidewater Drillers at First Flight HS on Thursday.

Mitch Moynihan got the win for Tidewater Drillers. He tossed three innings of shutout ball. Mitch struck out none, walked none and gave up three hits.

Tidewater Drillers hammered Outer Banks Daredevils pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 15 hits, 10 RBIs and 13 runs scored.

Tidewater Drillers went up for good in the first, scoring three runs on a passed ball and a two-run single by Nick Walker.

The fourth inning saw Outer Banks Daredevils score its only run on the day on an RBI single by Eric Schenck-Joblinske.

Tidewater Drillers increased its lead with four runs in the fifth. The inning got off to a hot start when Kurt Sinnen singled, scoring Tyler Tharp and Zach Bach.

Conner Hall helps Outer Banks Daredevils down Virginia Warriors 1-0

Conner Hall went 1-1 as Outer Banks Daredevils took home a 1-0 victory over Virginia Warriors at First Flight HS on Tuesday.

He singled in the eighth inning.

Josh Howard pitched lights out for Outer Banks Daredevils. Josh Howard held Virginia Warriors hitless over four innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out seven.

Josh Brooks recorded the win for Outer Banks Daredevils. He pitched five shutout innings. Josh struck out five, walked two and gave up three hits.

The lone run of the game for Outer Banks Daredevils crossed the plate in the fourth inning on an error.

Xavier Barrierre’s hit into a fielder’s choice gives Outer Banks Daredevils walk-off win over Tidewater Drillers, 4-3

Xavier Barrierre‘s walk-off hit into a fielder’s choice off of Nick Faison boosted Outer Banks Daredevils to a 4-3 win over Tidewater Drillers on Friday.

Outer Banks Daredevils was led by a flawless day at the dish by Brent West, who went 3-3 against Tidewater Drillers’ pitching. He singled in the second, fourth, and eighth innings.

Josh Howard shut down Tidewater Drillers while he was on the mound. Tidewater Drillers managed just two hits off of the Outer Banks Daredevils’ pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

The top of the first saw Tidewater Drillers take an early lead, 1-0. A solo blast by Nick Walker started the inning off.

Outer Banks Daredevils scored one run in the seventh inning, and then followed it up with one more in the eighth. In the seventh, Outer Banks Daredevils scored on an RBI double by Will Miller, plating Xavier.

Join us tonight, Friday, June 28th as the Daredevils take on the Tidewater Drillers

Join us tonight as the Outer Banks Daredevils host the Tidewater Drillers in their first meeting of the 2013 season. First and Second place will be battling it out tonight in the Tidewater Summer League game held at the First Flight Baseball Complex in Kill Devil Hills, NC. Come out and enjoy great summer collegiate baseball, great concessions, and family fun as our home team looks to add another win. Tonight is Police and Law Enforcement Appreciation Night, sponsored by Dare CASA, join us as we say a special Daredevils Thank You to all the men and women who serve and protect us here in Dare County.
